“... so that we may see him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”
(1 John 5.20)
"Christianity is monotheistic: One God and Lord". Belief in one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. “The divine nature is the unity of three distinct persons, revealed in the love of God, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:13).” (Extracted from the book, Cristology at your Reach, 2010). The great thing for the power of Jesus' resurrection (power of God) to be revealed in your life is love. Without love, nothing done: The perfect love that casts out all fear. (1 John 4:18)
Watch out! Fear causes a mental reaction in the body, generating a negative physiological response. On a scale, fear ranges from mild anxiety to dread, which is fear taken to the extreme, and can even cause psychological distress. In the Old Testament, prophets faced situations that tried to scare them, explaining the need to be people of courage, faithfulness and fear of God, so that God's message could be delivered.
In the New Testament, Jesus is the one who makes us walk about situations that try to make us sink: "If the sea does not open, God will make me walk on water, breaking in faith ..."
“And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. And when they saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they gave cries of fear. But straight away Jesus said to them, Take heart; it is I, have no fear. And Peter, answering, said to him, Lord, if it is you, give me the order to come to you on the water. And he said, Come. And Peter got out of the boat, and walking on the water, went to Jesus. But when he saw the wind he was in fear and, starting to go down, he gave a cry, saying, Help, Lord. And straight away Jesus put out his hand and took a grip of him, and said to him, O man of little faith, why were you in doubt? And when they had got into the boat, the wind went down. And those who were in the boat gave him worship, saying, Truly you are the Son of God.”
(Matthew 14: 25-33)
Fear not.
We are the righteousness of God, in Christ.
